The Capital House Music Festival – World Music Event officially opens and closes summer every year.
The Capital House Music Festival’s mission is to move your body with World House Music, raise funds and donations for Inner City Music Programs. It is dire that we all support the arts and make them accessible to the inner city youth!
Our 2024 Charity is Sam “The Man” Burns Legacy Foundation and we have already helped them establish their non-profit status. Sam “The Man” Burns Legacy Foundation is an organization with a mission to promote and preserve the vibrant history and legacy of Samuel Andre Burns. It is dedicated to continuing his mission of using music, film, dance, and art to enlighten, educate, create partnerships and unite communities.
We’ve donated over $100,000 in services and equipment since 2018. This is our FREE event for the community. Our last event, The Salute to Sam nearly 5000 people came out. GlowEventRentals.com is our Presenting Sponsor, WPFW 89.3 is our Radio Sponsor and Fusicology.com are our Media Partners. We currently receive grants, sponsorship and support from DowntownDC BID, the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment (OCTFME), 202 Creates, the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs and the Mayor’s Office of Nightlife & Culture and Milk Chocolate City & iHealwellness.com are supporting sponsors.
We understand that everyone wants to attend. This event serves as charity fundraiser for the Sam “The Man” Burns Legacy Foundation, a non-profit.
