Vendors must abide by all applicable federal, state and local health regulations in the preparation, labeling and safety of the product(s), s/he brings to the Capital House Music Festival. Vendors will be solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any permits and licenses required by the District of Columbia, Montgomery County, MD, and The U.S. National Park Services. Vendors must include a copy of all applicable permits for production and sale, including those from the health department of the state or county where the products originate. Vendors must have submitted all required application materials by May 1st, 2025 to attend the Capital House Music Festival. All food vendors must have a valid District of Columbia Department of Health license or Montgomery County, MD Health License. It is solely the vendor’s responsibility to submit applications must be submitted to the District of Columbia Department of Health or Montgomery County, MD Health Department in time to have proper licensing to vend. Health Department Inspectors will be on site to inspect and verify licensure. They Health Inspector may and can deny any vendor the right to vend and there will not be any refund. All vendors shall cause its contractors and subcontractors to maintain, so long as this Agreement remains in effect, at its own cost and expense, a comprehensive general liability insurance policy including contractual liability endorsements, on an occurrence basis, and shall name Capital House Music Festival LLC and Chrysis Entertainment LLC, it’s officers, agents, and affiliates, as additional insured. Certificates of Insurance should be emailed to info@caphousefest.com no later than May 15th, 2025. AN APPLICATION IS NOT CONSIDERED COMPLETE WITHOUT THE INCLUSION OF ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS FOR ALL PRODUCTS.
Vendors have the option of one of the following fee structures: Vendor payments must be received in full by May 15th, 2025 to attend and vend at the Capital House Music Festival. Once your completed application is received, an invoice will be sent to the email address provided. Sales Tax - Vendors selling non-edible products that are subject to sales tax should comply with local and state tax regulations. Vendors must provide their sales tax identification number and a copy of their sales tax card. Also, applicants should be aware that the District of Columbia requires sales tax on all retail food sales. Applicants applying for the Capital House Music Festival must comply with these requirements as mandated by the Montgomery County, MD, District of Columbia and The U.S. National Park Services. Check your vendor space desired (spaces are limited and first come first serve). The Vendor fee is non-refundable. The event is Rain or Shine, with the exception of an act of god or eminent life threatening weather event. The “Rain Date" is always the following Saturday after the schedule event. Postponement call will be made within 36-72 hours of the scheduled event. Vendors MUST have all their equipment, merchandise, products, and staff inside their assigned space. Vendors are prohibited from sharing a space with another vendor. If a vendor is found to be sharing space, they will be closed and prohibited from selling at the festival. Vendors MUST have flame retardant tents if a heating element (grill, fryer and et cetera) are in use. Vendors MUST take all their waste with them off site. Vendors can not dispose of waste (food, trash, cooking oil) at the park or festival. Failure to remove trash or illegal dumping will result in a fine starting at $500.
The Capital House Music Festival on-site managers are responsible for administering and enforcing all rules and procedures as well as public safety, space assignments, and data collection. The Capital House Music Festival management has final authority in resolving issues in a civil and efficient manner. The U.S. National Park Services prohibits use of alcohol and marijuana on federal property and subject federal offense. U.S. Park Police shall be present and visible. RULES & REGULATIONS

Festival Operations & Rules

1. TRASH DEPOSIT

  • ALL vendors must take their trash with them.
  • A $100 refundable deposit will be add to your invoice and collected.
  • Illegal dumping results in a $500+ fine.
  • Deposit refunds will be processed one (1) week after the festival, provided all waste is properly removed.

2. REGISTERED BUSINESS ONLY

  • Only the approved and registered business may vend in the assigned space. No subletting or sharing spaces.

3. Insurance Requirements

Vendors must maintain $1,000,000/$1,000,000 limit Comprehensive general liability insurance and add the following as “additional insured”

  • Capital House Music Festival LLC
  • Chrysis Entertainment LLC
  • Their officers, agents, and affiliates

4. COMPLIANCE WITH ALL GOVERNMENT VENDING LAWS & Health & Safety Regulations

  • All vendors must comply with federal, state, and local health regulations regarding the preparation, labeling, and safety of products sold at the Capital House Music Festival. Vendors are solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any required permits and licenses from municipalities.
  • Vendors must have all required licenses, permits, and food handling certifications (NSF).
  • The DC Government and/or Montgomery County and their Departments of Health will conduct inspections. It solely your responsible to know and be compliant with the municipalities. If you are shut down, there are NO REFUNDS.

5. Sales Tax & Compliance

  • Vendors selling non-edible products must comply with local and state tax regulations.
  • Vendors must provide a sales tax identification number and a copy of their sales tax card.
  • The District of Columbia requires sales tax on all retail food sales.

6. RAIN OR SHINE EVENT

The event is Rain or Shine – NO REFUNDS. It will only be postponed in life threatening weather (acts of God).

Rain Date: The following Saturday after the scheduled event.

Postponement decisions will be made within 36–72 hours of the event.

Prohibited:

  • Use and/or selling of alcohol and/or marijuana is prohibited, except for where governed by municipal/state law and to be consumed and/or used in designated areas. Please be respectful to children and those with asthma and or allergies.
  • Selling outside designated vendor spaces.
